Help protect the Cahaba for swimming!

We’re looking for photos of you, your family, or friends swimming in the Cahaba or its tributaries to show that water quality standards must be upgraded to ensure they are protective of human health. We need to show ADEM that swimming (and other water-contact sports) happen YEAR-ROUND in the Cahaba River.

Cahaba River Society statement on new “Dirty Water Rule”

The EPA and Army Corps have just adopted regulations that are the most extreme rollback of Clean Water Act protections in this essential law’s 45+ years history. They slashed about in half both the number of stream miles and flow volume that qualify for protection under the Clean Water Act.  These roll-backs will put our beloved Cahaba River,
