Ward Pate is the Corporate Environmental Manager for McWane, Inc. Serving in this role for the past 17 years, he manages environmental compliance through the use and implementation of the company’s environmental management system across more than 30 manufacturing facilities worldwide. His expertise has led to significant advancement in sustainability, pollution prevention, stormwater compliance, change management, and waste reduction across the company’s eight business groups. Ward’s experience in environmental compliance in the iron and steel industry spans over 25 years. Prior to his current position, he was the Environmental Manager at McWane Cast Iron Pipe Co. and an Environmental Specialist at US Steel – Fairfield Works.

Ward is an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking, biking, and paddling with his wife, Madalyn and their three teenage daughters. Ward has paddled 31 different rivers and creeks in eight southeastern states.
