Nicole Junkin - Cahaba River Society


Nicole Junkin began her journey with CRS in September 2023 as an Environmental Education Assistant within the CLEAN program, and her passion for education and the environment has already left an indelible mark on students and educators alike.

Nicole’s dedication to environmental education is evident in her infectious enthusiasm when she’s out on the River, imparting her deep knowledge and love for our natural world. Her background includes transformative work with high-needs students in a nature therapy context, yielding profoundly impactful experiences.

Beyond her role in environmental education, Nicole brings a wealth of administrative expertise to our organization. With a proven track record as an office manager, she seamlessly combines her skills with a genuine commitment to our mission.

As we embark on a transitional phase within our administrative team, Nicole has graciously taken on the role of Interim Administrative Coordinator. Her adaptability and knack for innovative problem-solving shine through as she embraces this new responsibility with a cheerful disposition and an unwavering work ethic. Already, her presence is making a positive and noticeable difference around the office.

Nicole’s passion for education and her administrative acumen converge to further our mission of protecting and preserving the Cahaba River. We are fortunate to have her as an integral part of our team!
