Courtney Pittman is the Vice President, Director of Architecture at Davis Architects in Birmingham, the oldest practicing architectural firm in the state of Alabama.  Courtney was the project manager for the new Hewitt-Trussville High School, which was awarded Cahaba River Society’s Blue-Green Design Award. This project was her first interaction with the Cahaba River Society and offered her the opportunity to understand the Cahaba River’s importance to our region and how construction can be beneficial to watersheds with the appropriate design solutions.   Courtney is also a LEED Accredited Professional having completed several LEED-certified projects, and she is very interested in helping sustainable design and construction practices become more standardized in our state.
