Salamander Festival – January 27th

Come see the Cahaba River Society at the Salamander Festival this Saturday, January 27th, from 1:30 to 4:30 at Homewood High School gym.

You will get to meet real salamanders! And hear original music about salamanders and other animals with the Swinging Slythereens! Then dance to the music of the Slythereens with our own Friends of Shades Creek Salamander!

See and learn from over 25 educational partners at the festival. Learn about fish, turtles, crayfish, snakes, and other animals. Learn about our native Alabama forest where our 8 varieties of salamanders live. And learn about the Cahaba River and how Shades Creek connects with it.

The event is free!
