Little Cahaba/Highway 280 Canoe Cleanup with Mom’s Basement

Volunteers will be paddling up the Cahaba River and the Little Cahaba River removing litter and invasive species from the waterway and along the banks. Trash bags, grabbers, canoes, paddles and pfds will be provided. Be sure to bring water and lunch. We will meet at the Cahaba River boat access near Grandview Medical Center at 9 AM. This is a flat-water, out-and-back trip. No canoeing experience necessary. We will meet at Mom’s Basement at 3:00 PM to announce the day’s winners and hand out prizes, so get cleaned up and meet at the bar (4411 3rd Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35222).
