Julie Price, PhD - Cahaba River Society


Julie is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the UAB School of Public Health. She previously served as the director of University of Alabama at Birmingham’s sustainability efforts, where she led a university-wide effort to ensure that UAB supports environmental, social, and economic systems that provide a productive and equitable life for current and future generations. She earned a B.S. in Natural Resources from The University of the South (Sewanee), M.S. in Horticulture from Auburn University, and Ph.D. in Biology from UAB. Julie enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Jay, a veterinarian, and their two young sons.
