From 8:30 am to 3 pm

  • Sponsor: Alabama Scenic River Trails (ASRT)
  • When: Tuesday, April 23rd from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm. We will meet at the Refuge between 10:15 am and 10:45 am.
  • Where: Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge

Tuesday’s Earth Week volunteer opportunity is in the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge. Depending on weather and water levels, we will paddle through the Refuge down to Pratt’s Ferry, collecting trash along the way.

On this cleanup, you will:

  • Promote the health and resilience of a National Wildlife Refuge in Alabama.
  • Restore habitat surrounding the Cahaba lilies, one of Alabama’s treasures.
  • Raise awareness of the need for environmental protection in our state.

We hope to schedule a walking cleanup and invasive species removal as well.

Thank You to our Tuesday Sponsor!
