Melody is the Senior Project Manager – Green Building Consultant at CBRE, where she works to improve the performance and sustainability of the built environment and develop project-appropriate sustainability and/or health and wellbeing strategies. She formerly served as Sustainable Development Project Manager at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she promoted ecologically beneficial campus design. Melody also served as Gensler’s Design Resilience Leader for the Latin America region during the signing of the Paris Pledge for Action on Climate Change, where she focused on demand-reduction and leading the sustainability consulting practice area.

A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Melody has a longstanding interest in sustainable landscapes and designing urban agriculture. She is an aspirational master gardener and lives in Birmingham with her husband Tom and beloved dogs.
