This invasive plant crowds out native species and threatens the health of our river. We need YOU to help us remove taro and restore this riverbank with native wildflowers. 🌼

In line with our mission to protect the Cahaba, we worked to minimize the environmental impact of this year’s Cahaba River Frydown.

For the first time, we offered recycling and composting services through @aeconline. ♻️ (Special thanks to John Scott Vowell)
@grace_klein_community collected 911 pounds of leftover beverages, catfish, desserts, and sides to share with food-insecure communities. 🍽️

Thank you to both groups and your incredible volunteers in helping us make sure the impact felt by Frydown is to our mission and not the planet!

This year’s Frydown, presented by @cocacolaunited, was one for the books! We welcomed nearly 1,500 attendees for a day full of food, music, and celebration, and together we raised a record-breaking $112,000+ to support our work preserving and protecting the Cahaba River. 💙

A huge thank you to all of our incredible sponsors, FryTeams, volunteers, and everyone who joined us at our largest annual fundraiser. Your support helps keep the Cahaba River healthy and thriving for generations to come. See y'all on the river! 🐟
