Alabama Rivers Alliance Water is Life: Environmental Education
Tuesday, August 4 – Water is Life: Environmental Education
Join the Alabama Rivers ALliance Tuesday at noon as we talk with Maggie Johnston (Environmental Education Association of Alabama), Scotty Feltman (Camp McDowell) and La’Tanya Scott (Cahaba River Society). Learn more about how these three organizations are planning to offer exciting environmental education opportunities during the pandemic. As schools start to reopen and parents consider the new school year, we will hear about online resources for virtual learning that teachers, parents, grandparents and communities can continue the important work of introducing the environment to the next generation.
ABOUT THE WATER IS LIFE SERIES
Each Tuesday, starting on Rivers of Alabama Day (April 14), the Alabama Rivers Alliance invites you to join us from noon – 1 pm for this virtual get-together…with a purpose! We will be highlighting the role that water plays in our lives throughout Alabama and we will share how you can participate in the efforts to protect water, even in this new “normal”. You’ll hear from our partners across the state, and leading experts in water protection. We’ll even have a few river history lessons thrown in!
