Chloe Lee

Chloe Lee is a senior biology major with a STEM education minor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Chloe grew up in North Alabama surrounded by the Bankhead National Forest. She developed an appreciation for the wildlife and the nature surrounding her at a young age and this inspired her interest in biology. Her appreciation for the wildlife and freshwater of Alabama grew as with each semester at UAB.

Chloe plans to become a high school biology teacher following her graduation in December 2022. Her involvement with the UAB Teach program and biology courses at the university has given her a passion to share knowledge about the environment and conservation to her future students. Chloe is involved as a volunteer with conservation efforts of Diamondback Terrapins at UAB and is also a parttime employee at the McWane Science Center. As an intern she hopes to make a difference in the health of the river as well as gain knowledge to share to her future students.
