Alabama Symphony Orchestra “Unwined”
Join us for a fun, relaxing way to start the new year! Part of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra’s “Unwined” series, this casual concert partners the Symphony with Cahaba River Society, bringing people together for a healthier and cared for Cahaba River.
Doors will open at 5pm for a social hour with a wine bar, information from Cahaba River Society, and the debut of a special film by Hunter Nichols that explores the connection between music and nature as we follow the Alabama Youth Symphony Orchestra on a Cahaba River Society CLEAN field trip.
From 6-7pm, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Carlos Izcaray, will perform Handel’s Water Music, a piece known for highly spirited movements that were played on boats for 18th century “River Parties.”
