Cahaba River Society believes that connecting people to the Cahaba River through hands-on experiences is the best way to inspire care for the river. Our Volunteer Stewardship program enables volunteers to make a real difference in river protection and restoration.
You can sign up for volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We also work with groups and companies to create volunteer projects.
Visit our volunteers page to learn more about volunteer opportunities and how you can volunteer to help protect and restore the Cahaba River.
Cahaba River Society partners with companies and organizations to help them fulfill community engagement goals and employee volunteer initiatives.
Every year, Cahaba River Society plans a week of volunteer activities during the month of April. These volunteer opportunities are listed on our event calendar and are available to groups and individuals on a first-come, first-served basis.
Wil Rainer is Cahaba River Societyโs Field Programs Director. He leads, plans, and implements river restoration projects for our Volunteer Mobilization program and leads CLEAN Environmental Education guided canoe trips.
Visit our event calendar for volunteer opportunities or contact Field Programs Director Wil Rainer at (205) 322-5326, extension 420, [email protected], or fill out this form to discuss planning a project for your civic, business, school, scout, church, or other group.
