Field trips are carefully organized to ensure the participantβs safety. Our CLEAN staff hold current First Aid and CPR certifications. While scrapes or bruises typical of childhood play occasionally occur, our team follows strict safety protocols to prevent serious incidents.
Our trip leaders are certified, and we take time to teach canoeing basics. We do not paddle when water levels or weather create unsafe conditions. Every trip has program staff with current first aid and CPR certifications.Β

We will walk in water up to knee-deep on a stream walk.Β
Wear clothes that can get wet and closed-toe shoes. Bring an extra pair of dry shoes to put on after your time in the water. Nobody can enter the water barefoot or in open-toed shoes.Β
We like to start at 9 (getting off the bus). Like to be done at 1:30 but it has to be a little flexible.Β
