Partnerships are essential to protecting and restoring the river. This year, we worked with amazing organizations on projects that make a real and immediate difference on behalf of the river. 

• Partnered with UAB Health Policy Ambassadors to draft green infrastructure policy recommendations for municipalities in the Cahaba River watershed. 
• Partnered with The Urban Turtle Project and The Birmingham Zoo to survey alligator snapping turtles populations and range in the Cahaba River.
• Partnered with Living River Retreat to expand CLEAN Environmental Education’s accessibility to students in the lower watershed. 
• Partnered with local artists and nonprofits to develop creative options to recycle more of of the materials our volunteers remove from the river.
• Hosted the Birmingham Water Works Board Summer Ambassadors
• Continued partnership with The Nature Conservancy of Alabama in The Urban River Restoration Collaborative.
