Lilies
The Cahaba lilies bloom from mid-May to mid-June (or Mother's Day to Father's Day). The best and largest populations in the Cahaba River are located in the Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge. Directions are available at the Refuge website.
This year's Cahaba Lily Festival in West Blocton will be held May 31st.

- There currently are no Fish Consumption Advisories for the Cahaba River. However, it would be wise to observe the general recommendations offered by the Alabama Department of Health regarding fish consumption in this state.
