Speckled darter, Etheostoma stigmaeum, one of 22 colorful darter species in the Cahaba River.

Rainbow shiners, Notropis chrosomus. This species is restricted to the Cahaba River headwaters near Trussville and to the Little Cahaba River in Bibb County. The Rainbow Shiner requires clean, silt-free water in order to reproduce.
